Before creating Zillow.com, Rich founded the online travel site Expedia. Expedia was started within Microsoft in 1994, then spun out of Microsoft in 1999; Rich served as the President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director until March 2003. By that time, Expedia had grown to become the largest online seller of travel in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Rich also worked from 1991 to 1994 in various product management roles for Microsoft. He is currently a venture partner at Benchmark Capital and on the board of directors of Netflix and AtomShockwave.
