We’re Flattered, but really?

A client sent us a screen shot the other day from the control panel of Pixilink Solutions, a company that sells Realtor websites in Vancouver – a competitor to Ubertor. It seems that they have stolen images from our control panel to use in theirs. That’s fine, I guess, but if you’re really going to do that – be sure to take the Ubertor logo off of it.

Zoomed In (see in the top left of the darker screen shots – you’ll see Ubertor):

Funny how our competitors keep doing this stuff. Here is another example I wrote about a little while ago. We’re flattered that they are focused on us.

UPDATE: Varinder Kainth, owner of Pixilink called and emailed requesting that I remove the images that I have posted of their control panel as he says they are copyrighted material. I respectfully denied the request, but said that I would update this post with his request and notify our readers that he has rectified the problem and removed the Ubertor logo and images from his companies backend. Thank you Varinder, I appreciate the phone call and the correction of the problem.

In his words:

“Hello Blog,
I don’t mind you writing on the blog anything that you want, but please remove the images that you have posted of our backend as those are copyrighted and our backend is to. The images have been removed from our system as they are your images.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Regards,
Varinder Kainth
Pixilink Solutions”

Wow, It’s great for the flattery, but what a bonehead move. If I am searching for a provider, I want someone who can show originality and future thinking, not copying what is already out there.

    Steven,

Why not offer the same deal to My Real Page Website owners as they offered we Ubertor clients, only do it the way realtors would.
Offer your Ubertor Clients a referral credit for a refferred My Real Page client.
    See what happens?

@ Richard – we currently do have a referral program in place. I would love to get you on board with it. I will drop you an email with the details.
