Social Media Week is coming up! It is happening in Beirut, Berlin, Bogota, Buenos Aires, Chicago, Glasgow, Los Angeles, Milan, Moscow, Rio De Janeiro, Sao Paulo and of course Vancouver. Social Media Week is a 5 day event, running at the same time in each city, and is FREE to attend.

Teri Conrad and myself are putting together The Real Estate Summit portion of Vancouver’s Social Media Week and you are all invited. It is happening, Thursday, September 22nd at Ceilis Irish Pub from 12:30pm – 4:00pm with an after party happening right upstairs on their open air patio! Remember, the event is FREE, so come down, bring your team and learn about social media for the real estate professional.

Who are these speakers?

Tom Everitt is a 6 yr Medallion member of the REBGV and the owner of his own boutique real estate brokerage. He is an award-winning speaker who brings passion and humour to his business.

Tom’s Topic: He believes that video is the single greatest tool for bringing Realtors out of their shells and on to the forefront of their business, increasing not only their ‘trustability’ but their profits and career lifespan.

Debra Trappen is the Director of Training and Community Engagement for Coldwell Banker Bain|Seal…wrangling all of the company’s Oregon and Washington locations. Debra is passionate about living life out LOUD and enjoys Training and Inspiring #swagga, Social Networking (Connecting), Travel, Real Estate, Karaoke, Wine, and CHANGE!

Debra’s Topic: We all agree…managing your online reputation is paramount in our business today. Knowing what your clients and sphere are saying about you, your service, or company is just as important as providing them all a simple platform to share their testimonials/recommendations with others. Cliff Stevenson is a Calgary Realtor who runs a paperless operation utilizing virtual workers in other countries to help him manage and build his business.

Cliff’s Topic: Cliff will speak on how he virtualized his Real Estate Business using online tools and offshore labour.

Scott Dawson is a mortgage broker with Verico Paragon Pacific mortgages. Specializing in Mortgages for the Self Employed, Scott has used Social Media to build his personal brand awareness and establish referral relationships.

Scott’s Topic: Using Social Media To Build Relationships and Get Deals

Bocar Dia is a part of the HootSuite.com team. HootSuite.com is a social media management tool that allows you to manage your social networks.

Bocar’s Topic: Bocar will show how HootSuite can be used in the day to day life of a Realtor.

Kye Grace is the owner of Four Cross Marketing a boutique real estate marketing agency in Vancouver. Besides managing the agency Kye focuses on developing and improving onsite conversion methodology and strategic SEO. Kye worked for a number of years as a licensed realtor, and is known internationally for his social media & online marketing adventures.

Kye’s Topic: Google Analytics is potpourri of numbers, graphs and data that most find overwhelming. Come learn what 3 items in analytics really matter to you when self managing your website’s performance and where to find them. Along with quick tips on how to improve these you will be better equipped to understand how your site is actually performing.
