An associate of mine over at Webnames.ca emailed me about a friend of his that has a business that targets Realtors. The idea is that an agent can put their advertising on a gift card for some local businesses and pass them out to their clients. From what I can see the costs are almost the same as the gift card value itself.
Their site is kinda fun. It lets you design the card yourself, including adding images, content, text bubbles plus lots more. It works a little wonky in Firefox but you can still do it. One thing I don’t like is that the purchase part of the website pops open a new window and my browser ate the window. I had to click on the preferences to find it. Other than that, kinda cool.

Just to keep you and yours in the loop. Realtors have been looking for a home design and furnishing retailer for our customised Realtor Gift Cards and we have responded by adding the Urban Barn. It may not be Homesense or The Bay buthey are our first national retailer (aside from Petland Canada) to join and that’s big for us.
More to come and we’ll keep you posted on our new website launch – it will offer Realtors accounts capability so they can store and share all custom gift cards they create.
