If you’ve signed up for an Ubertor website, you probably noticed a hand written ‘Thank You card’ pop into your mailbox a few days later. Expressing your gratitude for a favour, gift, or in this case a ‘sign up’ is extremely important, and in the end speaks greatly about the way your business operates and essentially your company culture.

Ubertor has been hand writing thank you cards for years (close to 10!), and now our Client Service Team has adopted the handwritten thank you card program and have begun creating personalized cards for people they chat with in Live Help.

Check out some of the cards below:

There are a handful of reasons to send out thank you cards to show your gratitude. Here are some ideas, if you’re stumped:

  • New client, customer or sale
  • A referral from a current client, friend, or family member
  • After a kick-butt live chat, phone call, or meeting
  • Any job well done by someone you worked with

With technology these days, many take the easy route and send out E-mails to serve as thank yous. An E-mail message is “OK”, but it does not have as much weight as a handwritten thank you card. Handwritten thank you cards show appreciation and effort, and actually provides the receiver with something physical to hold and appreciate.

In the end, who doesn’t like to be appreciated and thought of? This is an extremely powerful emotion you should be tapping into regularly. It’s a very simple process, that works for any business.

I have been using hand written notes for the past 8 years in my Real Estate business and this is so true. People comment on the notes you send. It must be hand written, the envelope also has to be hand written and it also must be a regular stamp. This works wonders because people will open your note before their bills. It is an exception in the mailbox. Works Great!!! and yes I did receive a note from Ubertor, very personal and very impressive. A must for your business

One of the best pieces of advice I was given when I started in the business was to personally hand write a thank you card for everyone I met. I have over the years received many calls, emails and comments from people that have received a card, thanking me for taking the time to make it personal. It’s so much more fun to open something other than a bill!!!

@Jean – Great points, and I fully agree that everything must be hand written.

@Moss – Such a simple action, produces such a great reaction. Everyone should be on handwritten thank you cards.

@Bettina – I’m in the same boat. It’s a great feeling when one takes notice of the effort put into the card.

Thanks for your comments! Our team is pumped with the feedback we’re receiving.

Sending a hand written Thank You card is definitely a professional and SMART thing to do. The recipiant feels appreciated and usually will display the card on their desk or bulletin board for others to see – a nice advertisement for YOU!
