We have been working very closely with Macdonald Realty and have just completed our latest project for them.
Anyone who has spoken with me, been to our training sessions or watch what is happening on the internet will know that neighborhood searches are very popular on the internet and if you are on top of it, it is great way to gain new business and exposure using the search engines.
We have been pushing our agents to launch 2nd and 3rd websites that are targeted around specific areas, neighborhoods or certain products. For example:
loftsvancouver.com – Google “lofts vancouver” and you will see this site on the 1st page
kitsilanohouses.com – Google “kitsilano houses” and you will see this site on the 1st page
assignmentsvancouver.com – Google “assignments vancouver” and you will see this site on the 1st page
yaletown-real-estate.com – Google “yaletown condos” and you will see this site on the 1st page
terranova-real-estate.com – new site that was just launched
Macdonald Realty has taken this idea to the next level and we have launched 13 websites around the east side of Vancouver. Each website is linked to the other and they are all working together. Have a look at the Strathcona version of the system and you will see how they all work together.
Neighborhood searches are very big in the search engines. Google has a system called Google Local which allows neighborhood searches and Yahoo has the same sort of system. The key is having “search engine friendly” websites that are targeting specific things. Not all websites are search engine friendly… as I posted earlier, have a look at Google’s guidelines and ensure that your website is following them. All Ubertor websites follow these guidelines!
